Start or change my subscription
Pick a paid plan, pay through Stripe, and unlock your firm's features.
Who this is for: the firm owner, who manages the firm's plan and billing.
Before you start
- Your firm starts on a free trial. The trial tier is free and lasts 14 days from when you registered.
- Only the owner can manage the subscription. If you are a manager or employee, you cannot change the plan.
- You will need a payment method to enter at checkout.
Steps
- Open your firm's billing settings.
- Choose a plan. The paid plans are starter, standard, pro, and enterprise. Each has a fixed monthly and annual price in Canadian dollars; you also pick your billing cycle (monthly or annual).
- Continue to checkout. You are redirected to Stripe to complete payment.
- Enter your payment method on the Stripe page and confirm.
- After your payment goes through, your firm's plan becomes active and that plan's features unlock. You receive a confirmation email.
Role variations
- As a manager or employee: you cannot change the subscription; only the owner can.
What can go wrong
- You do not check out before the trial ends. While you are on the trial, you receive upgrade reminders when 7, 3, and 1 day(s) remain (one email each), and an expiry email once after the trial end date passes. After the trial ends your account is locked: your data is kept, the billing and profile pages stay available, and choosing a paid plan unlocks everything immediately.
- A later payment fails. Your firm is marked past due and you receive payment reminders on days 1, 3, and 7. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, your account becomes read-only (you can view everything but not make changes) and you receive a suspension notice. After 30 days the subscription is canceled. Updating your payment method restores full access.
Limits
- Your plan determines which features your firm can use and how many you can do. Higher plans unlock more.
- Most team and productivity features (timesheets, the service catalog, the AI assistant) unlock at standard and above.
- PDF export, QuickBooks and Sage integrations, and compliance features unlock at pro and above.
- Priority support is enterprise only.
- Included user seats per plan: trial 1, starter 1, standard 3, pro 10, enterprise 20. Standard, pro, and enterprise let you add more seats (billed per extra seat); starter and trial cannot add extra seats.
- At checkout, you are billed for the base plan plus one extra seat for each active user beyond your plan's included seats.
- The trial is limited to 10 clients. Paid plans have no client limit.
- You cannot downgrade to a plan whose user limit is below your firm's current active-user count. Reduce your active users first, then downgrade.
